French

At our school French is taught as a 2nd Foreign language from grade 6. In the 6^th and 7^th grade, students have four lessons per week; In the 8^th and 9^th grade, only three lessons a week.

At the end of the first year, students are supposed to acquire proper skills in reading, writing, listening and speaking to some extent according to the level A1 of the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR). An evaluation by the teacher continuously takes place in their course, particularly in form of class tests (4) and alternative tests (i.e. vocabulary test) (2).
